School colors: Royal Blue, Scarlet Head Coach: Bobby Alston, 108-52 (1998-Present); four state titles (2004, 2005, 2008, 2009). Prior to Coach Alston's tenure, Jake Rudolph coached MUS for 39 years (1959-1997), leading the Owls to a 295-119-4 record and one state championship (1985). Rudolph passed away July 6, 2008, at the age of 78. Although the school's official nickname is the Owls, MUS athletic teams are occasionally referred to as the "Buzzards".
