TENNESSEE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL COMPOSITE RATINGS (2007)

The Tennessee High School Football Composite Ratings are based on three third-party ratings services that rate teams regardless of classification. The "Rating" column represents the team's overall state rating. The "SOS Rank" represents the team's overall strength of schedule rank by service (excludes Sonny Moore, which did not provide SOS). The "Numerical Average" column represent the numerical average of the Ratings and SOS Ranks of the three services. The "Average Rank in TN" columns represents where the teams would rank when comparing the numerical averages to each other. For example, MBA's numerical average rating of 1.00 makes it the highest (#1) rated team in the TSSAA; its numerical average strength of schedule rank of 2.00 translates into a tie (with Brentwood Academy and Smyrna) for the most difficult schedule (#1) in the TSSAA.
